Who we are

Our website address is https://www.voxmack.com. This site is operated by the Voxmack group.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the information shown in the comment form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, which help us detect spam.

An anonymized string created from your email address, also called a hash, may be shared with the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public next to your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, please avoid uploading images that contain embedded location data, known as EXIF GPS. Visitors to the website can download those images and read any location data stored inside them.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may choose to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. These exist for your convenience, so you do not have to fill in your details again the next time you comment. They last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie holds no personal data and is removed when you close your browser.

When you log in, we also set several cookies to save your login details and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen option cookies last for a year. If you choose Remember Me, your login lasts for two weeks. When you log out, the login cookies are removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an extra cookie is saved in your browser. It holds no personal data and simply notes the ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content such as videos, images, and articles. Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as though the visitor went to that other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed extra tracking from outside services, and watch how you interact with that embedded content, including tracking you if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we keep your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its information are kept indefinitely. This lets us recognize and approve any later comments from you automatically, instead of holding them in a queue.

For users who register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, although they cannot change their username. Website administrators can also view and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can ask to receive a file containing the personal data we hold about you, including anything you have given us. You can also ask us to erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not cover data that we are required to keep for administrative, legal, or security reasons.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
